Twenty-First Free Dental Day
November 9, 2007

Dr. Peter M. Friedman, D.M.D. and Dr. Steven B. Grater, D.M.D. held the 21st  Free Dental Day, Friday, November 9, 2007 at their office located at 4129 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17109.  Participating dentists this year were Dr. Friedman, Dr. Grater, and Dr. Larry Pepper of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Institute.  (The purpose of Free Dental Day is to offer dental care to those who do not have dental insurance and cannot afford dental care.)

By 10:00 a.m. the first 100 patients were handed information folders and questionnaires to fill out.  The last patient was given a folder at 12:00 noon.  One hundred nine (109) patients received free dental care.

The volunteers worked from 8:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. The last patient was taken care of at 5:00 p.m.   Some of the volunteers were from other dental offices, and some of the volunteers worked in shifts.

- Nine (9) dental chairs were continuously busy thru out the day.
- Six (6) Dental Hygienist worked on forty-eight (48) dental cleanings.
- The three (3) Dentists worked on twenty-nine (29) tooth fillings and thirty-two (32) tooth extractions.
